Christian Ferreyra
Researcher & Engineer
My primary research interest is to understand the nature of consciousness and its relationship to physical reality.
Present
As a PhD student, I study how human brains and artificial neural networks represent and process the natural world. I analyze how acoustic information is transformed into meaning using geometric approaches, information theory, and brain imaging data collected while participants listen to natural sounds.
Selected Publications
-
Auditory redundant and synergistic representations between brain and artificial neural networks revealed by information-theoretic decomposition
Projects
-
High-performance estimation of Higher-Order Interactions from multivariate data. JAX-based implementation of information-theoretic metrics including O-Information, Interaction Information, and Total Correlation.
-
Web application for cloud-based EEG analysis using visual block diagrams. Built with React, Django REST Framework, MNE-Python, and SciPy.
